Commercial TV stations were yesterday eager to obtain unedited tapes of ACT Chief Minister Kate Carnell on tonight's ABC Good News Week after word leaked that some scenes involving the pharmacist-cum-politician were probably not suited to a family show. Asked to mime a new Chinese concept in contraception - sperm-killing electrified underpants - Carnell surprised fellow panellists Mikey Robins and Tim Flannery with a bravura performance, described by producer Ted Robinson as "ballsy".
